Behold the Apple IIc

This brought back so many memories I had to share it. Fresh from the box is an Apple IIc all the way from 1988. I remember wanting this machine when it came out. I was 18 at the time and I thought it was about the coolest computer on the market. I had the Apple II+ which supported 40 columns and only had uppercase letters. How old is that?!

For those who don’t remember the Apple IIc came with a floppy drive (no hard drives in those days!) and a staggering 128k of memory. Make sure you read that one again, that’s 128k not 128MB…

Check out these pictures and go down memory lane. It’s so funny to look back on computers and see where we’ve been!

Thanks for Daniel and Kathryn Yu for the great pictures!

Photography Time Travel

A while ago, probably over a year ago now, I had a go at time lapse photography using the bundled Canon software. It didn’t turn out too bad for a first attempt but since then I moved over to using a Mac and can not try it again in the same way. Enter Photojojo who have written up an excellent guide to Time-Lapse Photography

read our guide on the ins and outs of time-lapse and start churning out your very own time-lapse videos from your photos.

  1. Choose your subject.
  2. Figure everything out.
  3. Shoot your still photographs.
  4. Edit your photos in Photoshop (Optional).
  5. Assemble all your photos together into a video.
  6. Edit your video – add titles, music, and all that jazz.

All seems a lot more complicated than using the Canon software but, hey, I am willing to give it another try :)
