Create Your Own Variable Neutral Density Filter
This could be interesting. I’m not sure exactly when I would use it, but maybe that is part of the fun…
Although I have to admit, the last time I bought a “cheap” filter my pictures were blurry an unusable, but hey, this could be different.
If you’re like me, you’ve seen those fancy VariND filters that give you between 2 and 8 stops of neutral density. Here’s a DIY filter using two polarizers that will give you very similar results… though probably not exactly the same as the ND.
