10 miles is getting easier

Although I went hell bent and did 34 miles on the Creeper I can’t say can keep doing it. However, I have found that I can get 10 miles done with relative ease these days. I’m not breaking any land speed records mind you, but it’s actually a pretty easy ride. There is a big loop we follow which has some level terrain as well as uphill and downhill treks. It’s relatively easy to drop to the lower gears and slowly climb the hill. You certainly lose that cool factor though when your legs are spinning in circles at 100mph but puppy dogs could outpace you.

After riding the bikes on the Creeper I do realize mine desperately needs a tune up. I pop out of gear quite a bit and the chain “sticks” from time to time. I’m pretty sure everything has just come a little loose these days and a few spins of the wrench will set things right.

And I’m not sure how I did it, but my back rim seems bent. Well, not “seems”, it really is bent, I had to adjust the brakes since the pads were rubbing against it. You would think I would remember how that happened since bending a rim is fairly difficult and there would have been an impact.

But then again, maybe there was a hard impact and that’s why I don’t remember…
