World Market Has Vegemite!

Author: Perhaps the Vegemite embargo has been lifted!
Since Donna bought me a jar of Vegemite a month or so ago, I’ve been on the lookout to buy more. It would seem everyone is sold out of their limited stock. A few years ago, the World Market carried it, but issues surrounding it forced them to take it off the shelves. Well, since Donna was nursing the toe I decided to take the boy on a field trip. I wanted to get some more Ginger Beer and thought Marmite might make an acceptable substitute (I was also divining ways of sneaking it into his food). It’s not quite the same, but in these desperate times, any port in a storm right?
But to my absolute surprise they had Vegemite right there on the shelves! Multiple jars of the stuff! And it had a price tag of a trunk of gold bars! You may think it smells bad, but that doesn’t mean it’s cheap! If I’d had my big wallet pants I would have bought the entire stock. But few can afford that much Vegemite. I did grab a jar for myself as well as one for Theo and even threw in the Marmite so he could see the difference.
They also had my Bundaberg Ginger Beer as well as a Dark Chocolate spread and a Banana Chocolate spread. I have no idea what to do with these, but I couldn’t resist. I was also smitten with the Jalapeno Kettle Chips and Guacamole chips. They even had an Australian Mustard which I got just because of the label. Maybe I shouldn’t go shopping before lunch?
I have no idea how long the Vegemite will stay on the shelves but I’m excited! At least I got another jar because the government says it’s just far too powerful for mere mortals!
