Error 1935 with Corel Paintshop Photo Pro

I just bought my copy of Paintshop Pro and once again I get an error 1935 during the install. And once again, I had to turn off my AV software in order to get through the install. This time I’m using the Norton Internet Security 2011 Beta so it’s not just something with AVG like it was for Corel Draw. And from what I’ve been reading Corel Painter 11 has the same issue. So I have to ask, what the hell is Corel doing that requires you to turn off the AV to complete the install?

I’ve installed Paintshop going all the way back to version 7 (actually all the way back to the original) and this is the first time I can remember actually having to turn off the AV in order to complete setup. I know for sure, X, X1 and X2 never had this problem. In fact, I can’t actually recall having to turn off the AV software for any program in the past 5 years. I know Corel installs a few "extra" services for anti-piracy measures, but something seems a little off with this. What exactly are you doing with my anti-virus software off?

I guess the long and the short of it is, if you’re trying to install Corel, you need to turn off your AV software. Personally, I think that’s pretty crappy.

I tried to disable the file scanner and all sorts of things, nothing seemed to work. I ultimately had to uninstall the AV and then reinstall after the setup. It’s a pretty big pain and I really have no idea what the problem is. Corel is doing something these scanners don’t like.
