Canon UK confirms EOS 50D camera
At 15.1 megapixels and 6FPS this is probably the camera I will be upgrading to. Funny, it’s actually coming to market quite a bit sooner than I would have expected. I’m sure they wanted this out before Christmas so everyone can add it to their list.
It looks like there are significant improvements such as:
Viewfinder resolution of 920,000 pixels
ISO 12,800
17-85mm IS kit lens (can’t be that)
Canon has officially unveiled the EOS 50D, a digital SLR that will bridge the gap between the EOS 40D and 5D when it goes on sale next month.
Features include a new CMOS imaging sensor, Digic 4 image processor and ‘improved usability’.
Canon reveals 18-200mm IS lens
Looks like Canon has finally decided to release their own 18-200mm IS lens. This lens just seems to be gaining more and more popularity. Of course I still want one, and now that Canon has entered the field let’s hope there is a price drop across the board.
Canon will next month launch a new telephoto zoom in the shape of the EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS.
Canon celebrates camera milestone
Canon has rolled out its 100 millionth digital compact camera, the first being the PowerShot 600 which was launched in 1996.
