World Travel Theme for Wordpress

Author: See, I told you you could adapt the Parchment theme and come up with something new. Here’s a similar theme with a World Travel motif. This is the same color scheme as Parchment with some graphics changed and a different footer in place. It has a World Map for the header and the same subtle and easy to view colors. It’s a nice easy to read theme that you can do a lot with. Your site doesn’t even have to be travel related to use this one; cooking, photography, cycling and writing would all work just as well.
As always this theme is free to use and you can modify it as you see fit. Drop me a line and tell me what you think of the theme. And if you do make changes, let me know, I’d love to see what you’ve come up with.
The theme is widget ready and was tested with Wordpress 2.9.2.

Parchment Theme for Wordpress
Here’s a new theme I’ve been working on based on old parchment. Not surprisingly, that’s the name I’ve chosen. This is a very clean theme with really nice, subtle tones. It’s has a wrinkled texture for the background, old papyrus for the header, and matching colors in the sidebar and footer.
Personally I think the colors look great and have a gentle but rich earth tone feel to them. The header image isn’t specific so you could easily layer additional images into it and adapt this theme for any purpose. Personally I think it would great as a writing blog, will really make pictures stand out, and will certainly look impressive no matter what the topic. I kind of based it on writing, but there’s nothing that says you have to do that.
